FALL 2023 INTRAMURAL SPORTS

Registration Information:

Registration for all intramural activities will be completed online. Most team sports have limits on the # of teams for each league. Therefore it is a first-come, first-served basis to ensure a spot in a league for your team. ALL LEAGUES WILL START THE WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 17TH. REGISTRATION OPENS ON SEPTEMBER 4TH!

Team/Individual Sports Registration:

• Complete registration form online @ intramurals.ubishops.ca
• Each team's representative must meet with the Intramural Coordinator before the season begins and pay the required LEAGUE FEE. Teams without representation risk missing important information or even being bumped from leagues with high demand.

Individual Registration for Team Sports:

If you are unable to form a team but would like to play, please email intramurals@ubishops.ca to be placed on a team/form a Free Agent team. Please note we aim to honour all requests, however, not every individual request may be accepted. 

Captain's Meetings:

• Team Captains must meet with our Intramural Coordinator prior to the start of the season. An email will be sent in the days leading up to the first game. 
• Each team must have a representative present or risk being bumped from a league. 
• League Fees will be collected at this meeting, including schedule distribution, etc. 

League Fees:

• Each team is required to pay a $100 FEE for each sport. Ice Hockey is an exception and requires a $350 league fee, as well as water polo which requires a $350 league fee. Ice hockey`s league fee will cover the cost of ice rental & certified referees, while the water polo league fee covers the cost of the pool rental and certified lifeguards. 

Eligibility:

• All Bishop's full-time students are eligible. Champlain students are not eligible. 
• Bishop's staff, faculty, and alumni with a Sports Centre membership are eligible.
• Participants may play for only one team in the same sport, this also applies when a team is in an 'A' league or 'B' league of the same sport.
• Current Varsity players are not eligible to play their respective sport. Members of Bishop's Sports Clubs are not permitted to form an entire team, for example, the Men's Club Soccer Team. Only a maximum of 4 individuals may be on the same team.
